MoveCue

Floor Yoga Flow

This flow stays close to the mat, opening with cat-cow and downward dog, stepping through a crescent lunge, then settling back down for dolphin, cobra, upward dog and locust. It ends folded forward and then seated, so the pace slows steadily from start to finish. It's a starting point — once you add it to MoveCue, you can lengthen the holds, drop poses, or reorder the sequence to suit your practice.

Why it's built this way

Cat-cow and downward-facing dog open the sequence because gentle dynamic movement prepares the body better than going straight into deep shapes. Crescent lunge sits directly after downward dog — the pose it is normally stepped into from — so the one upright shape stays beside the other upright shape instead of interrupting the floor block. Dolphin then opens the prone half while the shoulders are still fresh, and the backbends follow while the shoulders and hips are already warm. Transitions are kept to 10 seconds because yoga sequencing is paced by breath rather than a rest clock. Child's pose and easy pose close the flow, matching the general cool-down principle of descending intensity.
