Terms of Service
Last updated 29 June 2026
By installing or using MoveCue, you agree to these terms.
Who can use MoveCue
You must be at least 13 years old to use MoveCue. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use MoveCue only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.
What MoveCue is
MoveCue is a movement timer for routines you supply or build. You direct the app what to time; the app counts you through it with audio cues, haptic feedback, lock-screen controls, and a history calendar. It also includes an optional AI planner that drafts a workout from a description you type or speak. We provide the framework. You decide what to do with it.
Not medical advice
MoveCue is not a medical product. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or monitor any medical condition. We make no claims about physical outcomes.
Always follow the guidance of your physiotherapist, doctor, or trainer. If you have a health condition, talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing any movement routine.
AI-generated content
The AI planner uses a third-party AI service (Anthropic's Claude, via our Cloudflare proxy) to draft workouts and runs only after you give consent in the app. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for you. Every AI-generated workout is a draft for you to review — check it before you start, and don't rely on it as medical, rehabilitation, or fitness advice. You are responsible for deciding whether any movement is appropriate for you, and the "Not medical advice" section above applies in full to AI-generated routines.
Voice input
You may optionally use your device's microphone to describe a routine by voice. Speech is transcribed to text on your device; the audio recording stays on your device and is not sent to us. Voice input is never required — typing always works.
Subscription terms
- Pricing. MoveCue Premium is $2.99 per month or $14.99 per year.
- How it's sold. MoveCue Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and is managed on our side via RevenueCat. Billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by MoveCue.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancellation. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MoveCue → Cancel. On Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MoveCue → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not MoveCue. Request one through Apple's Report a Problem page or Google Play.
What's free vs. paid
You can build routines manually, run them with the timer, and view your recent history at no cost. The AI workout planner, the difficulty-graded heat-map history, smart reminders, and PDF export require an active subscription.
Acceptable use
Use MoveCue for your own personal movement routines, within the limited licence described below. Don't abuse the AI proxy with high-volume, automated, or off-purpose requests, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system we operate, or use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or these terms.
Intellectual property & ownership
MoveCue and everything in it are our intellectual property. This includes — but is not limited to — the MoveCue name, logo, branding, and trade dress; the app and all of its software and source code; the exercise library and exercise instructions; the audio and haptic cues; and, in particular, the infographics and exercise illustrations. It also includes the overall design, structure, look and feel, and underlying concept of the product. All of this is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use MoveCue on devices you own or control, solely for your own personal, non-commercial movement and fitness use. That licence is the entire extent of the rights you receive.
Except as expressly permitted by these terms or by law you cannot contract out of, you may not:
- copy, reproduce, screenshot for redistribution, download in bulk, republish, or otherwise duplicate the app or any of its content — and this applies with particular force to the infographics and exercise illustrations;
- distribute, share, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise make the app or its content available to others, whether for payment or for free;
- publicly display, perform, broadcast, or post the infographics, illustrations, exercise instructions, or other MoveCue content outside your own personal use;
- create derivative works from, adapt, translate, or build any product, dataset, or service based on the app, its content, its infographics, or its design and concept;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or use any automated means to extract the app's content, exercise data, or infographics, or use any of it to train or develop a machine-learning model;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying ideas of the app, except to the narrow extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice; or
- use the MoveCue name, logo, or branding, or imitate the app's design, look and feel, or concept, in your own product or marketing.
Any rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us. If you give us feedback or suggestions about MoveCue, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use them to improve the app, with no obligation to you.
Assumption of risk
Movement and exercise carry inherent risks, including the risk of muscle strain, sprain, injury, or, in rare cases, more serious harm. By using MoveCue you accept those risks. You are solely responsible for exercising within your own limits, stopping if anything hurts, and deciding whether any routine — including any AI-generated draft — is safe and appropriate for you. If you are unsure, consult a qualified professional before you start, as described in the "Not medical advice" section above.
Disclaimer of warranties
MoveCue is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any AI-generated workout, content, or result will be accurate, complete, or suitable for you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) MoveCue, including any injury, loss, or damage connected with following a routine or relying on AI-generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims relating to MoveCue is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your misuse of MoveCue, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of anyone else's rights, to the extent permitted by law.
Termination
You can stop using MoveCue at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access to the service, or to any paid feature, if you breach these terms or misuse the app. The sections that by their nature should survive — including Intellectual property & ownership, Disclaimer of warranties, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, and Governing law — continue to apply after you stop using MoveCue.
Governing law
MoveCue is operated by an individual based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and you agree that the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of MoveCue.
Severability & entire agreement
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about MoveCue.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always at movecue.app/terms, with the date of the last update at the top of the page. Continuing to use MoveCue after a change means you accept the updated terms.
